5 Trending Bathroom Decor Ideas From Instagram To Make You Feel Like Royalty
Beyond its basic functions, a bathroom has a lot of potential uses: as a place to catch up on reading, to relax in the tub, to hide from your kids, or even all three. But for many of us, the bathroom rarely feels as luxurious as we’d like.
So isn’t it time you pampered yourself?
If the tastemakers on Instagram have anything to say about it, a royal makeover is in your future. We uncovered the hottest decor trends on the ‘Gram (as we always do), this time with an eye on the loo again. And what we found are looks that are so luxe, we want to lock ourselves in these bathrooms and never come out.
Here are our five favorite bathroom decor trends of the week, plus everything you need to steal the look.
1. Celestial tile
These gorgeous floor tiles might look like a complicated work of art; but in truth, there couldn’t be an easier out-of-the-box method for upgrading the aesthetics of your bathroom.
“I’ve seen a lot of this starry tile pattern on floors and walls,” says Ana Cummings of ANA Interiors Ltd. “It adds a linear and graphic punch to an otherwise plain room, and it’s an easy way to add another layer of pattern to a space. Just make sure you use the proper sealer if planning for heavy foot traffic.”
2. Double-height counters
One of the biggest trends of today is design where style meets function—which is just one of the reasons we love these double-height counters from @dreamy_home_decor.
“We are seeing a lot of rooms offering double-height counters and shelves,” says Cummings.
“It really is awesome for different work zones and storage, allowing options in how a space is used,” she says. “It’s also visually interesting, as it breaks the monotony of single-height counters, especially in large rooms where you kind of need some design interruption to make it interesting and user-friendly.”
3. Gold bath fixtures
Make your next bath feel fit for royalty with a set of gold fixtures as snazzy as these ones featured by @anaiscandle.
“Not only are we seeing more bathtub designs, but we’re also embracing the romance of the vintage fixtures,” says Michelle Harrison-McAllister of Michelle Harrison Design. “This brassy faucet elevates a simple tub to an elegant focal point of the bathroom.”

4. Delft-inspired backsplash
“Nothing says European style like a blue and white backsplash tile,” says Harrison-McAllister. “This universal color scheme transports you from Holland to Morocco to Mexico, giving a worldly flair to your bathroom.”
5. All-glass side table
Looking for an excuse to linger in the bath just a little longer? Here’s one. This all-glass side table from @emiliefournetinteriors is perfect for upgrading the look of your bathroom while holding your favorite tub drink.
“One of the most important pieces in your home is a glass side table,” says Harrison-McAllister. “This piece is a great neutral and can make an appearance without being the center of attention. It’s also the perfect spot for a gardenia-scented candle, bath salts, and, of course, that tall glass of wine.”
