Historic Sailing Event On NJ's Tallship

Hoist the sails and get ready for adventures on the high seas! Bring the whole family to sail on the A.J. Meerwald, an original oyster schooner from the 1920's. At the turn of the century, literally thousands were employed in such boats along the coast of the Jersey Shore. Experience history and have a great day on the water. Help the crew hoist the sails, learn about sailing and the local environment. There is even a Pirate Sail on Sunday at 1:30pm. Hear about the history of local pirates, enjoy the pirate re-enactors on board, and come in costume, if ye dare! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
