l

A weekend packed with conservation-based, interactive activities and wildlife encounters for all ages.  Our shores host the largest concentration of spawning horseshoe crabs in the world, and the shorebird migration – nearly 10,000 miles end to end – is one Nature’s most epic journeys. This is the only place on Earth to witness this incredible drama.  

Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of conservation-based activities including guided shorebird viewings; horseshoe crab workshops; horseshoe crab spawning survey demonstrations and reTURN the Favor walks; aquarium teaching tanks and creature features; and other hands-on education and conservation-based activities.

Proceeds from the event help support our critical research, conservation, and education programs focused on shorebirds and horseshoe crabs.

Explore the numerous grassy paths through The Nature Conservancy’s Garrett Family Preserve. -May 30, The 21st Annual Stone Harbor Turtle Trot 5K Race and Two-Mile Fun Walk

A Memorial Day Weekend tradition for many!  Stone Harbor's beautiful Diamondback Terrapins crossing the town’s roads in search of an area to nest inspired the name of our race, and we will, once again, be donating a portion of our proceeds to the Diamond Terrapin Program at The Wetlands Institute.  Contrary to its name, the Turtle Trot is a fast course through Stone Harbor’s scenic, residential neighborhoods. Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and the top three women to place in the 5k Race. In addition, the top three men and top three women in six different age categories will also take home medals.  The Fun Walk is an untimed, non-competitive event that is suitable for the entire family.

The PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic will take place June 19 – 20th. Featured courts will be located at Morey’s PigDog Beach Bar, with additional courts on the Schellenger Ave and Lincoln Ave beaches. Teams of 2 will compete in various divisions based on age/skill level, while teams of 6 participate in a recreational division. Top level players compete for prize money and all lower divisions play for merchandise prizes. In addition, Sunday’s junior division winners will earn bids to AVP America Junior Nationals. Play begins at 9AM and ends at 6PM each day.

His prized possession was a solid-gold, hand-sculpted piece of scrap metal art worth millions of dollars. His final wish was to be buried with the sculpture, but of course, everyone wants it for themselves. Rumor has it, the old man put a “curse” on it so if he wasn’t buried with it, anyone who touched it would end up buried themselves. Everyone tries to steal the “Majorcan Monkey,” but whoever touches it ends up dead...and the audience VOTES on who gets the Monkey in the end!

Presented by MudHen Events is an annual youth baseball tournament held on the beach at the base of Rio Grande Ave. extending over to Leaming Ave. The tournament is for youth baseball teams 9U-13U. Casey Powell Lacrosse presents the Morey’s Piers Lacrosse Festival, a 3v3 SPEED Lacrosse event not to be missed. SPEED Lacrosse, an innovative new action sport founded by American lacrosse superstar and Hall of Fame member Casey Powell, brings its non-stop action to New Jersey this summer at the Morey’s Pier Lacrosse Festival to take place on the beach at Morey’s Piers August 14-15, 2021. August 28, Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon, 5K and Kids’ Race

A Jersey Shore Triathlon at its finest! Since 2004, Tri the Wildwoods has been the flagship race for DelMoSports. Before TRI AC, before Escape the Cape, and before IRONMAN 70.3 Atlantic City there was Tri the Wildwoods. Coined a “Rite of Passage Race,” by the Cape May Star & Wave, Tri the Wildwoods has always been known as a race of unpredictable weather, a challenging course, and possibly the best after party for a triathlon in the state of New Jersey! Simply stated, it’s a “must do” triathlon ‘down the Jersey Shore! Past champions of this race include USAT Olympian Joe Maloy (a Wildwoods native!), former USAT Olympian Jarod Shoemaker, and Lifetime Fitness Champion Alicia Kaye.

Morey’s Piers is going to the dogs for this one-day annual tradition. The day starts with the Doggie Dash – a 1-mile or 5k beach walk/run with your favorite canine. Then it’s on to the water park as we let our four-legged friends enjoy the pools and some small slides at our Raging Waters water park on Mariner’s Pier. Throughout the day, the famously dog-friendly PigDog Beach Bar will host “Yappy Hour” specials for you and your fur babies. September 24-26, Irish Fall Festival

The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrating Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors. Held along Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs in North Wildwood from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Bus service is available throughout the event dates. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court stage and beer garden, and Catholic Mass. The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues.
