A weekend packed with conservation-based, interactive activities and wildlife encounters for all ages. Our shores host the largest concentration of spawning horseshoe crabs in the world, and the shorebird migration – nearly 10,000 miles end to end – is one Nature’s most epic journeys. This is the only place on Earth to witness this incredible drama.
Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of conservation-based activities including guided shorebird viewings; horseshoe crab workshops; horseshoe crab spawning survey demonstrations and reTURN the Favor walks; aquarium teaching tanks and creature features; and other hands-on education and conservation-based activities.
Proceeds from the event help support our critical research, conservation, and education programs focused on shorebirds and horseshoe crabs.

A Memorial Day Weekend tradition for many! Stone Harbor's beautiful Diamondback Terrapins crossing the town’s roads in search of an area to nest inspired the name of our race, and we will, once again, be donating a portion of our proceeds to the Diamond Terrapin Program at The Wetlands Institute. Contrary to its name, the Turtle Trot is a fast course through Stone Harbor’s scenic, residential neighborhoods. Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and the top three women to place in the 5k Race. In addition, the top three men and top three women in six different age categories will also take home medals. The Fun Walk is an untimed, non-competitive event that is suitable for the entire family.

Teams of 2 will compete in various divisions based on age/skill level, while teams of 6 participate in a recreational division. Top level players compete for prize money and all lower divisions play for merchandise prizes. In addition, Sunday’s junior division winners will earn bids to AVP America Junior Nationals. Rumor has it, the old man put a “curse” on it so if he wasn’t buried with it, anyone who touched it would end up buried themselves. Everyone tries to steal the “Majorcan Monkey,” but whoever touches it ends up dead...and the audience VOTES on who gets the Monkey in the end!

Grab your buckets and shovels and head to the beach at Heather Road in Wildwood Crest from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and get ready to create works of art in the sand! This amateur and semi-pro sand sculpting contest is hosted by professional world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long and “Can You Dig It!” Sand Tools. FREE to all participants and spectators. July 10-11, Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament, Wildwood
Quickly becoming a family tradition for flag football players from across the region, this awesome summer Jersey Shore beach event features 5 v 5 beach flag football for both boys and girls 5 – 17 years old as well as adults. Hosted and sponsored by Morey’s Piers, all participants receive 4-day Ride & Slide passes, good for all three amusement piers and both water parks for Friday-Monday of the event. Casey Powell Lacrosse presents the Morey’s Piers Lacrosse Festival, a 3v3 SPEED Lacrosse event not to be missed. SPEED Lacrosse, an innovative new action sport founded by American lacrosse superstar and Hall of Fame member Casey Powell, brings its non-stop action to New Jersey this summer at the Morey’s Pier Lacrosse Festival to take place on the beach at Morey’s Piers August 14-15, 2021. September 12, Morey’s Paws Dogfest
Morey’s Piers is going to the dogs for this one-day annual tradition. The day starts with the Doggie Dash – a 1-mile or 5k beach walk/run with your favorite canine. Then it’s on to the water park as we let our four-legged friends enjoy the pools and some small slides at our Raging Waters water park on Mariner’s Pier. Throughout the day, the famously dog-friendly PigDog Beach Bar will host “Yappy Hour” specials for you and your fur babies. Also in attendance at PigDog will be Beacon Animal Shelter with items to auction and pups to adopt. If you’re a dog lover then this one-of-a-kind day cannot be missed. September 24-26, Irish Fall Festival
The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrating Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors. Held along Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs in North Wildwood from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Bus service is available throughout the event dates. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court stage and beer garden, and Catholic Mass. The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues.
September 25, Wildwood Crest Seafarers Celebration
Sunset Lake, Wildwood Crest. Family oriented festival from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. along the lake featuring fun, food and live entertainment. Fireworks along the lake at 8 p.m.
October 9, Wildwood Food Festival
The Wildwood takes you on a culinary journey in a beautiful setting. If you haven’t been to the Shore in October you need to check it out! Smaller crowds, warm days, and many businesses still open.
October 15-16, Fabulous 50s And Beyond Weekend
Wildwood is the Doo-Wop capital! Stars like Chubby Checker, Bill Haley and so many more frequently played here in the 50s. And the island’s collection of Doo-Wop architecture is on the National Historic Registry! Check out this weekend of amazing music and fun.
