The Wonderful Music of Oz, Sunday, August 12, Ocean City Music Pier, 7:30-9:30pm
This enchanting event will delight young and old alike with the music based on the classic book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". Musical adaptations from Broadway, Hollywood and the radio will all be featured. Celebrate all the music you love with some of New York's top vocalists, and of course the top notch Ocean City POPS. Festival of Lights Boat Parade, Saturday, August 11, 8:30pm, Stone Harbor
One of the most colorful and popular events, things get underway at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor (9001 Sunset Dr) with the boat queue. The parade begins at 9pm at YCSH, where boats will then head south into Stone Harbor Basin, followed by Shelter Haven, Snug Harbor, North and South Basins. The parade ends up back at YCSB for judging. Immediately after, enjoy the fun band Drop Dead Sexy and the afterparty, running til 1am at the YCSH. This year's theme is "Around The World".
Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing Party, Saturday, August 11, Beach Plum Farms in Cape May
Beach Plum Farms invites you to their prime location for viewing one of the delights of the summer season, the Perseid Meteor Shower. Space enthusiast and photographer Chris Bakley will have plenty of equipment to give everyone a closer look. Beach Plum suggests riding your bike to the event to keep it as green as possible! Don't forget to bring your chairs, blankets and headlamps for this fun event! 140 Stevens St.
Atlantic City Jazz Band, Sunday, August 12, 419 Congress Street in Cape May
Cape May Traditional Jazz Society features the Dixieland stylings of the Atlantic City Jazz Band, with Tommy Quaile on trombone, Franny Smith on banjo, Bob Rawlins on clarinet, Bob Ferguson on trumpet, John McClernan on tuba, Chuck Harms on drums and Nancy Rawlins on keyboard. This is going to be a great time at the Cape May VFW, with proceeds going Food Bank of South Jersey. Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 by calling 609-368-3342.
Navy Seal Challenge, Saturday, August 11, Lincoln Ave on the Beach in Wildwood
Think you have what it takes to be a Navy Seal? Then sign up now for the largest obstacle course in South Jersey featuring Navy Seal Team Challenges, Individual Competitions and Kids Challenges. You can register online at this link up until 12 am on August 11, or in person at the Wildwood Beach Patrol HQ at Lincoln and the beach up until 5:30pm of August 11. Competitions begin at 6:30pm. Come see this fun event, where kids ages 9-13 will compete on four different fields for the right to call themselves the best of the beach! 9am-7pm daily.

This is one of the oldest baby parades in the nation, celebrating its 109th year! Beginning at 10:30am, see the parade go from 6th-12th Street on the OC Boardwalk. Bands, special guests, cars and floats will travel to 14th.
