Spring Shorebird & Horseshoe Crab Festival, Saturday-Sunday, May 19-20
Cape May County hosts the world's biggest horseshoe crab spawning event, with thousands upon thousands climbing onto our beaches to lay their eggs. Right behind them is one of the largest migrations on Earth: shorebirds headed north that stop to rest and eat. This event will be celebrated and examined by the Wetlands Institute, with so many fun events (for all ages) and ways to learn and love this event you have to see to believe. Ocean City Triathlon/Duathlon, Sunday, May 20
Race to Ocean City this Sunday for this event with both a Triathlon, which begins with the swimming portion at 6am, and a Duathlon, which begins at 9am. There will also be a chance for kids to get involved and do their own race, much shorter, of course. Click here for info and to register (registration ends May 18).
Captain Kidd Pirate Day, Saturday, May 19, 26th & Boardwalk in North Wildwood
This long-running, annual event will be sure to leave lasting memories. A pirate costume parade begins at 26th Ave on the Boardwalk at 11am, followed by a treasure hunt on the beach at 19th Ave. Prizes include treasure boxes for kids, gift cards, vacation stays and more! To register for the parade call North Wildwood Rec Center at 609-522-2955. No need to register for the treasure hunt.

Head to the area's most charming outdoor mall for this annual sale-extravaganza! Enjoy great food and drinks while you shop for those true steals. Sale hours 9am-7pm.
Royal Wedding Party, Saturday, May 19, 9am-1pm, Elaine's Restaurant in Cape May
It's only fitting to watch the Royal Wedding this Saturday in Victorian Cape May, so dress in your finest (there will be prizes awarded for best hat, fascinator and more) and partake in this rare event. Gentlemen are encouraged to attend and participate! The event benefits Branches Outreach Center. Reservations are suggested: call 609-884-1199.
Good Eats Food Truck Festival, Saturday, May 19, 11-6pm
Fox Park in Wildwood, across from the Wildwoods Convention Center, hosts this delicious event. Kids will love the rock wall, face painting, bouncy houses and more! Free to enter, enjoy 12 food trucks which will compete for best fair, drinks including wine and beer, music from DJ Slice, and a cornhole tournament (for adults) with a grand prize of $250!
