Local Business To Appear On Shark Tank
A local family-owned business will appear on an upcoming episode of "Shark Tank," pitching their spot to investors for a chance to grow even bigger.
Topsail Steamer, with locations in Surf City, Ocean City, Wildwood and Sea Isle City, will be shown on the Oct. 25 episode of the ABC show, they announced.
Danielle Mahon founded Topsail Steamer in North Carolina in 2017, though she grew up in South Jersey, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The business sells single-use steam pots with your choice of seafood, and then you steam it yourself. It boasts that it offers a way to enjoy a delicious seafood boil without all of the prep work and stress.
"This national recognition highlights the hard work and dedication of the Topsail Steamer team, as well as the entrepreneurial spirit that defines our community," Batts said. "We encourage everyone to tune in to Shark Tank and support this fantastic local gem, which has become a favorite destination for both residents and visitors alike."
Tune into "Shark Tank" on ABC at 8 p.m. on Oct. 25 to see if the sharks accept Topsail Steamer's pitch.
