Memorial 2020 at the Jersey Shore
The beaches and boardwalks throughout Cape May County may look a little different this summer but there is no reason why you can’t enjoy your time at the shore. While restaurants are not offering indoor seating this weekend, most establishments are providing take out and delivery. Grab a meal, and alcoholic beverage and enjoy it overlooking the beach or bay. This is a great way to support local businesses who are only open a few months a year and waiting to open at full capacity.
While the amusements and arcades won’t be open, area boardwalks are open for walking, jogging, and bike riding. This may also be a great time to explore what Cape May County has to offer. Take a whale and dolphin cruise, charter a fishing trip, visit one of the local golf courses and take the family horseback riding.
New to the shore are “Ambassadors” who you will see around town on the beach and boardwalks. Ambassadors will be reminding visitors about social distancing guidelines in order to keep guests and communities safe.
Retail stores are offering curbside delivery. Visit their web sites, place and order and pick up purchases the same day.
Grocery stores do require masks to protect staff and customers. Please go prepared rather than be turned away. Many will also have capacity restrictions and most larger grocers offer online order and home delivery services.
No matter what you do this weekend, have fun and stay safe!
