Sea Isle Beaches Voted 2nd Best In State
Sea Isle City, with its stunning 127-mile-long stretch along the Jersey Shore, has proudly secured the enviable second position in a statewide poll titled "New Jersey's Favorite Beaches." This recognition comes at the peak of the summer tourism season, offering positive publicity to the city, and well earned!

The Sea Grant Consortium conducts an annual online poll, inviting the public to vote for their favorite beach communities in Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. To announce the winners of the poll, representatives from the Sea Grant Consortium, Ocean City, and Sea Isle came together for a presentation held at the Ocean City Music Pier on a delightful Friday morning (Ocean City claimed the top spot once again!)
Mayor Leonard Desiderio of Sea Isle City expressed his gratitude following the awards ceremony, stating, "To secure second place out of nearly 130 miles of coastal communities is truly remarkable. I extend my thanks to the Sea Grant Consortium and all the individuals who voted for Sea Isle City. As the mayor, it was a great honor to be present when Sea Isle City was called to receive this prestigious award, and I am immensely proud that our community placed second statewide. This recognition is something that all our property owners and visitors should take great pride in, as it reflects the strength and unity of our community."
The contest, introduced by the N.J. Sea Grant Consortium in 2008, aims to foster pride and stewardship of New Jersey's beaches, while also encouraging healthy competition among the state's favorite beach towns. Each online voter is limited to a single vote, ensuring fairness and preventing multiple votes from the same individual.
