Sea Isle Dog Park Coming In 2024
After extensive deliberation, Sea Isle City is set to finally establish a dog park as part of an upcoming project commencing this autumn, with the aim of welcoming the public before the summer of 2024.
The blueprints for this new dog park will be situated at the open lot on Seventh Street, adjacent to the parking facilities completed in 2019. The park design encompasses dog-friendly obstacles, two pavilions for shade, water fountains, and double-gated entrances to ensure a secure, enclosed area for dogs to play and stay safe.

Following the City Council's approval of the construction project, Sea Isle City Mayor expressed, "The creation of a dog park has been a long-standing community request in Sea Isle. During the city's recent master plan re-evaluation, we conducted an extensive citywide survey, which yielded an overwhelming response from community members urging us to make this happen. The city has meticulously planned this project and navigated it through the county open space process to secure eligibility for a 75% reimbursement of the project costs."
Additionally, the project will erect a shaded pavilion measuring 24 feet by 30 feet outside the dog park, providing a delightful spot for visitors to enjoy. The project is slated to begin construction in the fall, with the grand opening of the dog park anticipated prior to the 2024 summer season. This timing holds significance, as Sea Isle City residents are permitted to bring their dogs to the beaches during the off-season months, while pets are not allowed on the beaches during the bustling summer period.
