Thanksgiving Weekend Events In Cape May County
-November 18-26, Avalon Festival Of Trees
Avalon's Shopping District on Dune Dr. Thanksgiving festivities begin with the start of the Festival of Trees. Beginning Friday, Nov. 18, shoppers can cross off items on their Christmas list while visiting stores throughout town. While in stores, you’ll see a variety of beautifully decorated trees and wreaths of varying themes for you to bid on!
Burn those turkey calories with a casual 5K run and 1.5-Mile Fun Walk through Avalon. The Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children hosts this annual Turkey Trot that is open for all ages! Winners will be announced for the top three finishers overall plus the top three in each age group. And dress your best for a chance to win the costume contest!All proceeds from this event go to the Diller Blind Home, so it’s a great start to the day for a great cause. Thanksgiving is over, now it’s time to get festive! Stroll Dune Drive while shopping in the many stores and boutiques, and enjoy live music, children's performances, character appearances, crafts, giveaways, facepainting, and more!

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Join the merchants & Chamber in kicking off an old-fashioned Downtown Christmas.
-November 25, Avalon Santa Arrival
Santa returns for a very special appearance this year! Head out to Dune Drive at any location from 80th to 7th street and wave as Santa and many special friends pass by for this festive holiday parade. Santa will be helping Borough officials officially light up Dune Drive and the annual holiday display for the season!
-November 25-27, Winter Wonderland Village In Sea Isle
-November 25, North Wildwood Family Beach Bonfire
At 6pm, the parade will begin at 31st street and central avenue to 84th street, 84th street to Landis and then Landis to JFK Boulevard. Fire engines, costumed characters and Saint Nick on a holiday float will highlight the parade. Then immediately following a tree lighting ceremony and other festivities will happen at Excursion Park.
-November 25-27, Christmas In North Wildwood Weekend
Enjoy outdoor fire pits, hot chocolate, festive lights, decorations and music while enjoying the holidays in North Wildwood on Friday and Saturday at 4 pm, and Sunday at noon.
-November 25-27, Cape May Ghosts Of Christmas' Past Trolley Tour
Listen to dramatic tales of Christmas woe featuring Victorian ghosts, told by a member of the East Lynne Theater Company, on this ride along the historic streets of Cape May. At Cape May Convention Hall on Beach Ave, 10-4pm. Get your Christmas and Holiday shopping done at the Shore!
-November 26-28, Sea Isle Shop Local Weekend
Come out and support local shops during your holiday shopping and find great end-of-year deals! Customers who spend $25 or more at participating businesses on Small Business Saturday will be entered to win a flat screen TV, courtesy of the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization. The winner will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 5pm on Facebook Live!

11-4pm at Avalon's shopping district on Dune Dr. Snowfest Saturday returns with popular rides, obstacle courses, bounce houses and, of course Santa Claus! Grab your holiday photo with Santa, and be sure to bring your wish list, then stroll Dune Drive for some festive fun!
-November 26, Wildwood Christmas Shopping Village/Small Business Saturday
The Cape May County Park and Zoo and the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners are welcoming families and residents to Santa’s Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday November 26.
The Ceremony and Lighting of the Tree will be at 5:00 P.M. Collectibles and crafts will be for sale by the Cape May County Associations of Zoo Keepers and various vendors from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. The Zoo will be open from 10:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
The celebration will include live holiday music by the John Walter Cape Community Band, an ice sculpture demonstration, the polar express train ride, bounce house castle & slide, character appearances, free treats for all and a visit by the jolly man himself in the red suit. Join us for this free family friendly favorite event to kick off the holiday season.
