Priceline released its Travel Trends Report for 2025 and one popular New Jersey town made its list for “Where to Travel Next.”

IYKYK. The Wildwoods has been a destination for families for over a century, welcoming visitors from New York down to the Jersey Shore. Specifically, North Wildwood is loved for its quaint, quiet and retro feel its “classic small-town Americana”
According to Priceline, there is a new trend called “townsizing” where Gen Z travelers seek out small towns that resemble sweet, old-fashioned movies. Well, the scenes in North Wildwood aren’t on the screen: there are real-life “sugar sand” beaches (which are free!), Doo-Wop architecture, a lighthouse and a miles-long sea wall for hiking.

Wildwood will take to the skies this summer as the city hosts its first ever airshow above its expansive beach.

“When the airshow presented itself to us, we knew it was something that we should get involved in,” Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. said. “We have a beach that is second to none, with plenty of space.”

The show, titled “Wildwoods Thunder Over the Ocean Airshow,” was approved at a Greater Wildwoods Tourism Authority board meeting Thursday and will be held Sept. 5-6, the weekend following Labor Day.
The event is being sponsored by the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Authority and will be put on by David Schultz Airshows.
Troiano said that although Wildwood’s airshow announcement follows Atlantic City’s decision to skip its airshow for 2025, Wildwood’s goal is not to replace Atlantic City’s show, but to create a unique and exciting experience of its own.

This could be the year to sell your house – and here’s why. According to a recent NerdWallet survey, 15% of people are planning to buy a home this year. That’s actually a record high for this survey (see graph below):
Here’s why this is such a big deal. The percentage has been hovering between 9-11% since 2020. This recent increase shows buyer demand hasn’t disappeared – if anything, it indicates there’s pent-up demand ready to come back to the market.
That doesn’t mean the floodgates are opening and that there’s going to be a huge wave of buyers like we saw a few years ago. But this does signal there’ll be more activity this year than last.
