?In a time when tourism economic figures are still being talked about in terms of pre-pandemic and post-pandemic, the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority announced what it called historic tourism revenue growth in 2024.

The authority said on Wednesday, Nov. 20, that tourism revenue growth in 2024 was 3% above 2023 levels, calling the growth a “historic milestone.” According to a press release from the authority’s public relations firm, numbers from January to August for both years were compared.

Revenue gains, the release said, were based on 2% tourism tax revenue through August 2024. These figures indicated that, when compared to January to August 2023, which was considered an “all-time record year,” the 2024 revenue figures for the Wildwoods came in 3% higher.
