This seaside town is transformed into a Dickens village for the holidays with garlands of fragrant greens and twinkling gaslights. Wrap yourself in the warmth of holiday spirit and sample a variety of fun tours and events.  If you've never been to Cape May during the Christmas season, it's a must-see!  Cape May has the largest collection of Victorian buildings outside of San Francisco, and the town completely transforms into a 19th Century Christmas wonderland!

-December 10, **NEW EVENT**  Create In The Crest Holiday Jubilee

*Perfect for a rainy Sunday*: The Borough of Wildwood Crest is set to host the first Create in the Crest Holiday Jubilee on Sunday, Dec. 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Crest Arts Pavilion located at 6301 Ocean Avenue.
Attendees to this free event are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly holiday sweater and view and vote upon entries into the mini tree-decorating contest. The event will also include hot chocolate and cookies, a visit from Santa Claus and a meet and greet with Dorothy Kulisek, the featured artist of the
event. 
Those in attendance can also decorate ornaments for the Crest community beach tree, which will be placed at the Heather Road beach next to Wildwood Crest Beach Pier. The public is also encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for donation to the annual Lunch With Lynch Toy Drive.  The Create in the Crest Holiday Jubilee is being hosted by the Wildwood Crest Creative Arts Council with support from the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department.
Decorated mini holiday trees will be on display at the Crest Arts Pavilion from Monday, Dec. 4, through Saturday, Dec. 30. In addition to the day of the event, the Crest Arts Pavilion is open 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, excluding holidays.  For more information, call the Crest Arts Pavilion at 609-522-0221 or email the Wildwood Crest Creative Arts Council at cac@wildwoodcrest.org.

-December 16, Cape May Elf Dash Bar Crawl

This is a charitable event with the mission to ignite the Christmas spirit and bring joy to our beloved Cape May community as we party the night away.  But we’re not just about having fun; we’re on a mission to make our community brighter. We dedicate 100% of the proceeds raised to benefit local families and charities right here in Cape May. It's a wonderful opportunity to give back and make the season brighter for those in need.  There is no cost to participate, but they ask you RSVP on their website here (you can also find a list of bars in the crawl).

Go ahead and add that Unicorn Adult Pajama outfit to your cart, because the Onesie Party is BACK for 2023! The drinks will be flowing, we’ll have some rocking live music, and you’ll already be in your pajamas. Why not book a hotel room for the night and walk home? It’s an even shorter trip to the Bloody Mary bar in the morning! Join us Saturday, December 16th for the festivities.

From 9-11am, Santa will be in Soifer Park at 9th & Asbury!  Then, from 12-3pm, enjoy free horse-and-carriage rides downtown at 6th & Asbury, and photos with Santa inside the Music Pier on the boardwalk!

Who can resist the twinkle of Cape May’s beautiful Victorian homes decorated for Christmas? This trolley ride through the historic streets of Cape May is a delight. Listen to Christmas music and enjoy hearing about the history of many of the Christmas traditions of today. Victorian Cape May is outstanding at Christmas and this is a ride to share with friends and family to revel in Cape May’s Christmas spirit. Trolleys are open-air. Blankets are recommended! Cape May MAC blankets are available for purchase at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth and the Physick Estate.


-December 18, Wildwood Crest Holiday Lights Walk

The Borough of Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign and the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department are sponsoring the fourth annual community Holiday Lights Walk on Monday, December 18 at 5:30 p.m.  Walkers will meet at the corner of Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue and will take an approximately 30- to 45-minute walk along Sunset Lake and the surrounding neighborhood to view the various holiday and Christmas light displays.
The walk will be led by Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign coordinator Laura Farrall.  The Holiday Lights Walk is free but registration is encouraged. Those interested are asked to send an email to lfarrall@wildwoodcrest.org.
Walkers should wear warm clothes and sneakers and are encouraged to bring a flashlight. The first 75 attendees will receive a small holiday gift.  Rain/inclement weather date for the event is Tuesday, December 19 at 5:30 p.m.

OVERSAND EXPO is a weekend of beach camping on the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey.  The weekend will include a full weekend of camping (Friday night thru Sunday afternoon)Registered participants will be allowed to camp on the beach under the stars all weekend long.  Camping units will be restricted to tents, small travel trailers (under 20ft), tear drop trailers, Off-road and overlanding trailers, RTT's, Vans, and Pick up trucks with bed campers.  No RV's will be allowed on the beach.  Click Here to register.
